Yes to all of this!! Loved this piece, Kate. The photo of the poster about intersectional feminism is perfect too. 🙌🏻

Thanks Charlene! I was just saying to my teenager "this poster gets right to the point, doesn't it?!" haha Thank you for reading :)

I love seeing how so many of the teenagers I work with are engaged in these conversations and are becoming increasingly political. So important to teach them this context and raise up those voices. 💗

That's great to hear, Charlene! I am constantly in awe at the younger generation, tbh :))

Excellent post Kate! I’ll never forget the chills I got the first time I read Sojourner Truth’s words. Absolutely incredible! Thank you for writing on this topic which doesn’t get enough attention.

I loved this piece and truly learned a lot. I would only disagree with the wording of ‘sexual preference’ as it isn’t a preference but an orientation. I’m excited to learn more about these brilliant women, especially the iconic Dorothy Pitman Hughes.

Thank you so much for reading and taking the time to comment. I have updated the word 'preference' for 'orientation', and thank you for confirming that :)
