Thanks, Sam. I hadn't read her either before studying her as part of my MA last year. I found some of the modernist poetry tricky to unpick, but I found Guests' really intriguing.

So interesting, Kate. I don’t know her work at all.

I also find poetry the most difficult form to access - like you say, it can often require a little more effort to understand. Guests’ work sounds fascinating. Thank you for sharing :)

This is a deep and meaningful piece. It really delves into the imagery and language of poetry beautifully. It really makes you think about how we create such amazing poems. Thanks for sharing this.

Love the urban pastoral concept, also in film. Your reading of the windows is really lovely.

Me too, I became quite obsessed with it during my MA! A wonderful poetry collection that displays the urban pastoral is 'A London Plane Tree' by Amy Levy - don't know if you've come across her work, a bit earlier than I usually write about.

Thank you for comments - I'm not very confident when writing about poetry!

I will check it out. Haven’t read a volume of poetry in a while and really love it when it’s the right vibe. Thank you!
