Happy anniversary!

Ps. Have you ever written posts about Karen Blixen (Isak Dinesen) and/or AS Byatt?

Thank you! :) No, I haven't...I know a bit about AS Byatt but not Karen Blixen. I shall add them to my list to look at! Thanks :)

Karen Blixen's stories are fantastic and well worth reading. I started with Winter's Tales and suggest you do the same.

Congratulations on your one year anniversary Kate- what a wonderful year of creation and devotion to writing and reading!

I love Tessa Hadley so will definitely have a listen and also enjoyed ‘The Let down’ when it came out.

I hope you’ve had a relaxing August and enjoy buckling down for the that ‘new term’ Autumnal feeling that comes with September :)

Thanks, Faye! 'The Let Down' really surprised me, I thought it handled some important topics really well. I hope you too have had a fun and creative summer :)

That review from the Guardian is really fascinating - not sure how I missed it (I’m an avid Guardian reader!) but thank you for linking it here. Will have to check out the 2020 biography of Eileen, as it sounds enlightening!

It does! It sparked an idea I've been toying with of running a series on the wives of male writers, who are often forgotten. I'm signed up to The Guardian 'Bookmarks' email, which comes out every weekend and has all the links to the week's book reviews & such, which I find really useful!

That sounds like an incredible series - looking forward to it!!! :)
